Patna, Sunday, 10 August 2025 – For centuries, the celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami has been a source of spiritual inspiration, encouraging devotees to imbibe the divine pastimes of the Lord in their lives. The festival is not only a joyous celebration but also a means of cultivating eternal devotion, peace, and joy.

Addressing the media, ISKCON Patna Temple Management Committee (TMC) Co-President Raman Manohar Das stated that this year’s celebrations will be held with grandeur and deep devotion, aiming to spread the timeless message of Lord Krishna to every heart. He added that ISKCON temples worldwide are renowned for their unique and spiritually uplifting Janmashtami celebrations, and Patna will witness the same divine fervour this year.
In addition to spiritual and cultural programs, arrangements have been made for devotional singing, kirtan, and discourses. Thousands of devotees from Patna and nearby regions are expected to participate. Special decorations, devotional dramas, and large-scale prasadam distribution will be among the main highlights of the festival.

16 August 2025 (Saturday) – Sri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav
(From 7:00 AM to Midnight)
- Soulful congregational chanting of the holy names by ISKCON Patna.
- Various spiritual and cultural presentations.
- Grand abhishek with 251 lamps.
- At midnight, enactment of the divine pastimes of Lord Krishna by devotee groups from Mayapur and Vrindavan.
- Offering of 501 bhoga preparations to the Lord.
- Distribution of sanctified food (Mahaprasadam).
17 August 2025 (Sunday) – Srila Prabhupada Appearance Day Festival
(12:00 PM to 2:00 PM)
- Grand abhishek of Srila Prabhupada.
- Prabhupada yajna, arati, and garlanding ceremony.
- Mahaprasadam distribution.
During the press conference, both TMC Co-Presidents were present, along with two TMC members who also shared their views. Nand Gopal Das, Spokesperson of ISKCON Patna, stated, “We will make special arrangements for our guests, devotees, and media representatives to ensure a comfortable and spiritually enriching experience.”
