Patna, July 21, 2025: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna has achieved a significant milestone by securing the 10th position in the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) Top Engineering Colleges in India 2025, released this evening by Education Post, a leading monthly magazine focused on higher education.
The IIRF ranking is based on a comprehensive evaluation across seven key parameters:
- Placement Performance (PP)
- Teaching, Learning Resources and Pedagogy (TLRP)
- Research Output (RO)
- Industry Income and Integration (III)
- Placement Strategy and Support (PSS)
- Future Orientation
- External Perception and International Outlook (EPIO)
IIT Patna earned a cumulative score of 922.33, affirming its standing as a premier institution in technical education and research.
Director Prof. T. N. Singh expressed pride over the recognition, stating, “It is a remarkable achievement that highlights IIT Patna’s consistent pursuit of academic excellence and innovation.”
On this occasion, Prof. A. K. Thakur, Dean (Administration) and Registrar, and Dr. N. K. Tomar, Associate Dean (Resource), HoD CSE Prof. Rajiv Misra along with faculty members, officers, and staff, also shared their joy and congratulated the institute’s community for this collective success. IIT Patna has also secured 10th position in the recently published India Today ranking.
