Governor of Bihar flaggs off the Cycle Rally organized by SSB as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

Patna: 12th September, 2021:: Phagu Chauhan, Governor of Bihar flagged off SSB’s Cycle Rally from Raj Bhawan, Patna today in the presence of Kumar Rajesh Chandra, IPS, Director General Sashastra Seema Bal. The cycle rally is being organised by Sashastra Seema Bal as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate 75th anniversary of India’s Independence on 11th September 2021.
On this occasion, the Governor congratulated SSB for organising the cycle rally and also conveyed his best wishes to all the participants of cycle rally. He also appreciated the positive efforts of SSB to bring about a positive change in the lives of the people of the border areas. A memento was presented to the Governor of Bihar by Kumar Rajesh Chandra, Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal. In his welcome address, Sh. Chandra highlighted the importance of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ event. He also highlighted about the achievements of SSB and its work and development in the border areas.
As a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, a team of representatives from 06 frontier Headquarters of Sashastra Seema Bal and 04 other establishments starts off the cycle rallies from different parts of the country and will reach Rajghat ,New Delhi to pay homage to the Father of the Nation Sh. Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary.

In this sequence, a team of 15 personnel of Frontier Headquarter SSB Patna led by Sh. Pawandeep Singh, Assistant Commandant started the cycle rally from Raj Bhawan today.This cycle rally team of Frontier Headquarter Patna will join the cycle rally teams of SSB Frontier Headquarter, Tezpur(Assam),Frontier Headquarter, Guwahati (Assam) and Frontier Headquarter, Siliguri (W.B) at Muzaffarpur (Bihar) and will cover a distance of almost 1250 KM to reach Rajghat (New Delhi) on 02nd October 2021

Similarly The participants of cycle rallies from Frontier Headquarter Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Frontier Headquarter Ranikhet (Uttarakhand), RTC Alwar (Rajasthan), SSB Academy Bhopal, Training Centre Gwaldam (Uttarakhand), and CTC Sapri (Himachal Pradesh) will also conclude their cycle rally at Rajghat, New Delhi on 02nd October 2021.

Chaitanya Prasad, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Govt. Of Bihar Sh. Pankaj Kumar Darad, IPS, Inspector General, Frontier Headquarter SSB, Patna Sh. Sudhir Verma, Deputy Inspector General, SSB, officers/officials of SSB and dignitaries of State/Central government were also present during the flag-off ceremony.
