In the first phase of Bihar Legislative Assembly, out of 1354 candidates, nomination papers of 1090 candidates are valid

At the end of the nomination process for the first phase of the assembly elections, 1354 candidates had filed nominations.
These candidates had 10 candidates enrolled online. After scrutiny, nomination papers of 1090 candidates have been found valid.
Thus the nomination of the remaining 264 candidates has been canceled. October 12 is the first date for withdrawal of nomination.

In the first phase, voting is going to be held in 71 assembly constituencies of Bihar. The Election Commission has fixed time for recognized political parties to campaign for Doordarshan and All India Radio. This time, for campaigning in the election period, the Election Commission has increased the original duration of campaign from 45 minutes to 90 minutes.
To campaign at the scheduled time, 90 minutes to the Indian Trinamool Congress, 119 minutes to the Bahujan Samaj Party, 427 minutes to the Bharatiya Janata Party, 109 minutes to the CPI, 98 minutes to the CPIM, 182 minutes to the Congress, 97 minutes to the NCP, the national public. The party has been scheduled for 343 minutes, Rashtriya Lok Samata Party 125 minutes.
Second phase nomination is going on from 09 October. So far 8 nomination papers have been filed.
