Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, renowned for its legacy of academic excellence and emphasis on holistic development, once again brought its vibrant campus spirit to life with Athlos 2026.
The flagship annual sports fest, organised by the Sports Committee, was held from October 2nd to October 4th. Over the course of three action-packed days, Athlos brought together leading B-schools from across Eastern India, creating a platform for intense competition, sporting excellence, and camaraderie.
As one of the region’s premier business schools, XIMB welcomed teams from several prominent institutions, including XIM New Campus, KSOM, IMI Kolkata, Birla Global University, Regional College of Management (RCM) and Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan(SOA). Competing alongside the host institution, XIMB, these teams added to the excitement and competitive spirit of the fest. The event opened with thrilling matches in cricket, futsal, and basketball, setting the stage for three days of spirited sporting action.
The three-day sporting extravaganza concluded on October 4th with a closing ceremony held at the XIMB Auditorium. The event was supported by IFFCO, OPGC, Central Bank of India, Decathlon and Red Bull as the Event Sponsors. The ceremony was led by Deputy Registrar Fr. V. Arokiyadass S.J. and graced by Prof. Arijit Mitra, Associate Dean of Student Affairs, XIMB and Prof. Nirali Shah who joined the celebrations and felicitated the winners and runners-up across various sporting categories. The ceremony brought Athlos 2026 to a fitting close, celebrating not only the achievements on the field but also the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie that defined the three-day event.
Across the three days, Athlos 2026 witnessed a strong spirit of sportsmanship, healthy competition, and camaraderie among the participating teams. XIMB delivered an impressive performance to emerge as the Overall Champions, while XIM New Campus secured the Overall Runner-up position. Beyond the results, the fest was a celebration of sporting talent and the friendships built both on and off the field, making Athlos 2026 a memorable experience for participants and supporters alike.
