Patna: The Election commission of India announced on 25th September, to hold general elections in three phases for 243seats of legislative Assembly .voting will be held from 7am to 6pm.

According to sources, the first phase of polling will be held in Bhagalpur,Banka, Munger, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Jamui, Khagaria,Begusarai, Purnia, Araria, Kishanganj and Katihar districts on october  28.

Its notification will be released on October 1. The nominations will be done on October,8  and the scrutiny will take place on October ,9 and the person who want to withdraw his name , they can do so on October,12. Thus, the first phase of election  will be held for 71 seats in 12 districts.

In the second phase , elections will be held in the districts of Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi,shivhar,west Champaran,East Champaran,Vaishali,Darbhanga,Madhubani, Samastipur, Saharsa, Supaul,and Madhepura districts on November 3, in North Bihar .

It’s notification will be released on 9th October. The nominations will be done on 16th October, scrutiny will be done on 17th October, and the nomination withdrawal will be done on 19th October. Thus the second phase election will be held for 94seats , in 12 districts.

In the third phase  , the elections will be held in  Bodh Gaya,Jahanabad ,Arwal, Nawada, Aurangabad ,Kaimur ,Rohtas, Patna ,Buxar, Saran,Bhojpur ,Nalanda , Gopalganj and siwan. The polling will take place on November ,7.Its notification will be released on 13  October.The nominations will be done on October ,20 , Scrutiny of the nomination paper will be done on October ,21.The  nomination withdrawal will be done on October 23. Thus, the third phase election will be held for 78 seats  in 14 districts.

Sources have said that keeping in mind regarding corona pandemic, The Election commission will make the following arrangements:

1. There will be only one thousand voters in one booth.

2.7lakh hand sanitisers will be used.

3 .46 Lakh masks will be used.

4. 6Lakh PPE kit will be used.

5 .6 Lakh face shield will be used.

6. There will be a total of 7crore,79 lakh voters in Bihar.

7.There will be 3crore 39Lakh women voters .

8.There will be 3crore ,79 lakh male voters.

9. Corona patients will use their vote at the last time of voting.

10. From 7am to 6pm , voters will be able to exercise their votes.

11. Candidates will also be able to enroll themselves online.

12 .In nomination there will not be more than two vehicles.

13.More than 5 people will not be able to go home and promote .

14.Election compaign will be virtual (online ) only 

15. The compaigning if Election has to be done by creating social distancing.

16.Tainted leaders will have to give their details in the media. The criminal accusations that are charged on the leaders has to be published in Newspapers 

The announcement of the Election Result will be done on 10  November.
