For this, the Government had constituted a 10-member committee comprising the Secretaries of Information and Broadcasting, Law, Home, IT and the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, CEO of My Village, Press Council of India, News Broadcasters Association and Indian Broadcasters Association and was directed to recommend appropriate policies for online media, news portals and online content platforms.
