IIT Patna Hosts Successful 3rd Technical Symposium “DRAVYA 2025”

IIT Patna: 11 May 2025 :: The Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, IIT Patna, proudly organized the 3rd edition of its flagship technical symposium, DRAVYA 2025, aimed at fostering academic exchange and innovation in materials science and engineering.

The event commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony led by Prof. T. N. Singh (Director, IIT Patna), Dr. Anup Kumar Keshri (Associate Dean R&D), Dr. Tamoghna Chakrabarti (Head of Department), and other distinguished guests. The symposium souvenir was also unveiled during the inauguration. Dr. Nitish Raja served as the Convener and Dr. Sandan Kumar Sharma as the Co-Convener.

The symposium featured expert lectures by eminent academicians. Prof. Shashank Shekhar (IIT Kanpur) presented on “EBSD: Fundamentals and Applications”, exploring cutting-edge methods in microstructural analysis, while Dr. Akhilendra Singh (IIT Patna) delivered a compelling talk on “Design of Adhesively Bonded Joints: A Fracture Mechanics Approach”, offering deep insights into material joining technologies.

Students from Ph.D., M.Tech (final year), and B.Tech (final year) programs actively participated through oral and poster presentations, showcasing their research and engaging in scholarly dialogue.

DRAVYA 2025 successfully served as a vibrant platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
