IIT Patna: 23 May 2023 :: It is a moment of immense pride and celebration for the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna as its Director, Prof. T. N. Singh, has been ranked No. 1 in India in the field of Earth Sciences in the 4th edition of the global ranking released by Research.com.
The prestigious ranking evaluates the world’s leading researchers based on their D-Index (Discipline H-index), which accounts for publications and citations specific to their area of expertise.
Professor Singh has achieved a remarkable D-Index of 66, with 14,716 citations across 326 publications, placing him at the top among Earth Science researchers in India* and among the most impactful scientists globally in this domain.
The ranking, compiled using data from credible sources including OpenAlex and CrossRef, highlights Professor Singh’s extraordinary contributions to Earth Science through decades of pioneering research, academic leadership, and scholarly excellence.
